Took a trip down to gaviota for some surf fishing yesterday and tumbled across this. It moves it looks like it had 1 fin on it and when I put back in the water it started squirting purple goo out of it. Anybody have a clue what it is? I only caught 1 50 lb bat ray :(

They got a pretty funny name for them up in Alaska, but since this is mixed company here I'll hold off with my comment...

Another critter similar to the "Sea Slugs" are the "Sea Cucumbers" and the chef at Sushi Marina (Ventura) has asked me a couple of times to bring some in (alive) so he can prepare them for us... he swears by them... (Hey, I love sushi, but I just can't imagine eating one of these slimy critters... :slap:)
