Stripers from surf

    Just got the pic I guess they are stripers. What should I throw at them to have a chance

    Nice striper! I heard they hit swimbaits,castmasters, hardbaits, Krocadiles from the surf! I've only seen 1 caught from the surf! And it hit a lucky craft hardbait! I hope that helps! Good luck!!

    I'd recommend using 3" or 4" Big Hammer and ripbaits!!! Any baitfish pattern that you have confidence in will work just fine.

    I caught one in the surf down in Ventura County. 36" long and weight a little over 15lbs. Ate a sandcrab on 4lb intended for a corbina. 30 min fight and almost go spooled twice.

    They eat the big 1/1.5oz castmasters with a white bucktail the best up here. Good luck!
