Had Nephews out from New York and Utah so my Cousin Dad and I all planed on fishing last Thursday. Mother Nature had other ideas and thunderstorms kept us home.

Things cleared up last night so off we went knowing tide change would be very late and conditions not ideal but had the itch.

Got some decent bait (live shrimp) and arrived for the end of incoming which was mild and produced a nice Red Fish for my Nephew from New York

He also landed two Stingrays as well, while my Cousin landed a Stingray and my Dad a small Black Tip Shark.

I landed a good sized Red Fish but man the cold weather and water has taken a toll on these fish, bloody spines, open sores and they tired quickly (which was OK by me as my back was killing).

My other nephew didn't get there until after the bite turned off and caught a ripping outgoing tide that kept us busy with tangles and lost rigs.

Fished from 7:30pm till 3:00am and should have just stayed home as it was not that good of a night and I am way too tired today as a result while my kids are well rested.

Sorry, wasn't even good taking pictures as these are the only two I have from the entire night - Oh Well - maybe next time.

Oh I agree the fish is a nice catch. Maybe I am forgetting sitting on the Ventura Pier all night for the skunk or Thornback. This place just usually produces better quantity fish with a lot less problems. Might also be that I was coming down with something as my entire household is sick this morning - Oh what joy :blah:

    Thanks guys

Yup entire family is home sick :blah:.

Looks like my Sister will be visiting next so another trip out is being planned.

My buddy Gabe finally got a tow bar put on his truck so hopefully we can get back out to do some inshore fishing soon as well and with summer coming there are some off shore trips coming as well.

Bill I will give ya a call. Entire family is home sick in bed. Bev, Katie and Keith all had to see the docs about this stuff going around. I haven't had to see one yet but if this keeps up I may as well. Congrats on the new home, now you can keep both boats and the fifth wheel at home and ready to roll at a moments notice.
