Went down to Haskells today at 7 and fished until 9. When I got there it was a little after peak high tide and beginning to drop. The swells were on the larger side about 3 ft or so but the salad was manageable in the beginning. I started throwing the 3 inch bh in sea wolf color with a red 3/8 leadhead. After about 10 minutes I found a spot and was getting strikes, finally hooked this one, measured to be 12.75". CPR and it swam off, I think it was pregnant this thing was fat. I got many more strikes but were smaller fish I'm assuming. The salad got worse after about an hour so I decided to leave.
